It’s a gloriously foggy and overcast morning here in Seattle. My day started with a trip to the local Safeway to get a CRUCIAL morning staple on our house: half & half. The coffee just isn’t the sam without it!
Here’s a pic from my volunteering at the arboretum yesterday.
Kyle (one of the gardeners) and I were weeding and came across a bamboo “root” that had escaped it’s barrier. (Although they cultivate the bamboo and was technically not a “weed,” it was in the wrong place and had to be eradicated.) Once we started to pull up the root, we were surprised that it extended over 10 feet! I thought it was particularly interesting that it continued to grow SO FAR underground and had not yet attempted to break out and up into the sun.
Things are going great here! well… for the most part. Actually I have been spending more time “vacationing” and less time really working than I originally planned. But getting away from the heat has been a great reset for me. (I SO LOATHE the Phoenix desert.) So this week I started really cracking down on my work.
My main work right now is finishing the Christian CD that I’m releasing! It’s very exciting to finally produce and release some of my Christian songs. 🙂
And there will be TWO CDs: one in English and one in Spanish. Mostly all original songs with like one public domain cover. We’re looking at a release date in October so stay tuned!
