Valley musicians Rebecca De La Torre and Nick Heward set to perform for a cause

Phoenix, Ariz. – September 10, 2012 – Singer-songwriter Rebecca De La Torre has announced today that she will be donating 50% of all ticket sales from her September 13th concert at The Rhythm Room to Jazz in AZ.

“Jazz in AZ is a huge proponent of jazz education in the Valley,” states De La Torre. “I want to help them continue to promote and support jazz artists of this and the coming generations.” Charitable giving is an important facet of De La Torre’s production company Topkat Music, LLC, which regularly makes donations to charities such as World Vision and other musicians needing financial support.

Joining De La Torre at the Rhythm Room are Nick Heward and The Elements of Style, who will be bringing their unique style to the stage as the show’s opener. “We really appreciate everything that Rebecca has done for the music community,” affirms Heward. “She supported me when I was putting my first album together. I’ll never forget that.”

De La Torre’s concert will highlight the premiere of her newest music video, followed by a live performance of her sophomore album Incognito. Guest artists, including Heward, will be featured throughout the show. Light hors d’oeuvres and free giveaways are included with admission to the concert. Tickets are just $10 and will be available at the door or in advance by calling 719-510-3212.

About Rebecca De La Torre

Rebecca De La Torre is quickly becoming the quintessential singer, songwriter, and pianist of her generation. An all-around musician who first learned to read music at the tender age of four, Rebecca’s incredible talent for pop, jazz, Latin/salsa, and R&B is perfecting how music is performed. Whether she is alone with her piano singing the latest radio hits, in a duo or trio playing for an intimate wedding, or moving and shaking the crowd with the Rebecca De La Torre Band, she intuitively knows how to lockdown her audience with the tunes that make them want to hear more.
