REBECCA DE LA TORRE HITS HOME WITH DEBUT ALBUM

“I’m Coming Home” Debut EP set to release July 15 with concert celebration

TEMPE, Ariz. – July 5, 2011 – Phoenix welcomes established singer-songwriter and pianist Rebecca De La Torre to the music scene with her debut album “I’m Coming Home.” On July 15, De La Torre will release her long awaited EP at a special concert event to be held at Ruffino Italian Cuisine.

The pop soul album includes 7 original songs composed and produced by De La Torre and features the Rebecca De La Torre Band. “My music is about spiritual growth,” states De La Torre. “The songs mean different things for many people, but ultimately it’s about getting in touch with yourself and finding true meaning in what you do.” De La Torre’s innovation in song writing and music production is found in the depth of her melodic expression and performance.

The title single “I’m Coming Home” is a collaborative writing effort with De La Torre’s husband, Jorge De La Torre. “I had the hook and the intro melody and asked my husband to write down what he was feeling while I played,” shares De La Torre. “His words are tied into the song. Experiences from my life continuously inspire my music. I’m an artist who writes from her soul.”

To kick off the album’s official release, De La Torre will be playing her songs live on Friday, July 15 from 7-10PM at an exclusive CD release concert and party to be held at Ruffino Italian Cuisine located on 4902 East Warner Road, (480) 893-8544. The setlist will include songs from the album as well as various popular covers ranging from jazz to R&B and swing to latin. She will be joined by the Rebecca De La Torre Band, which includes members Robby Carillo (drums), Jorge De La Torre (bass), Carson Parks (guitar, vocals and trombone) and special guest performers.
