30 Jan New Year’s Resolutionists
The gym has been uber crowded these days thanks primarily to the exaggerated influx of what I call New Year’s Resolutionists. While I think it’s great that people want to get in better shape, by April most of them will have weeded themselves out.
Why do we do this? Why is it so difficult to follow through with our plans to better ourselves? Maybe it just boils down to the fact that change is difficult to start, much more so to maintain.
I have to give an example of someone who DID stick with it: my neighbor, Jessica. About a year ago she made the decision to lose weight and keep it off. She has lost over 80 pounds and she looks great! It’s inspiring to see someone stick with it and succeed. It helps us know that we can achieve our goals, too, as long as we persevere!
